Pilates is designed to give you suppleness, natural grace, and skill that will be unmistakably reflected in the way you walk, in the way you play, and in the way you work Pilates exercises are gentle, progressive, and performed slowly with good postural alignment at all times. Regular Pilates practice typically leads to a stronger, leaner body while developing body awareness and having an overall de-stressing effect on most people. If you have done Pilates before, you will need to do at least one private session to allow us to assess you for placement in a class.
If you have not done Pilates before, you will need to do 2 to 3 class orientation sessions, in which you will learn the concepts you will need to participate in a class suitable to your level. Orientation sessions are 45-minute private sessions introducing you to the basic principles of Pilates.
